What We Believe
The Nicene Creed, adopted by the worldwide church centuries ago, summarizes the most important tenets of our faith.
Based on The Holy Bible and this creed, The Shepherd Project makes the following 8 statements of faith:
The Shepherd Project believes in the Triune God, who is one being and three in persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Shepherd Project believes the Bible reveals the mind of God, and is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, the source of primary revelation and all teaching of God.
The Shepherd Project believes in the reality of Satan and the presence of evil, and their present control over unrepentant humanity.
The Shepherd Project believes in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and His personal return in power and glory as King of kings and Lord of lords.
The Shepherd Project believes in the fall of humanity, which makes necessary the confession of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Shepherd Project believes in the reconciliation of humanity to God only by the shed blood and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ, received by grace through faith alone.
The Shepherd Project believes in the resurrection of believers into everlasting life and of unbelievers into everlasting punishment.
The Shepherd Project believes that God fulfils all of His promises, but that the Holy Spirit does not usually reveal His method and timing in fulfilling those promises for individual believers.
